At 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 25, police received a report about an alleged assault that took place in Arizona. The report indicated that a man had been struck over the head and that his golf cart had been stolen. A few minutes later, police received word of a hit-and-run, and police made contact with a 24-year-old man who played football for the Indianapolis Colts after the cart had crashed into a gate.
