Devan Montgomery
Chief of Criminal Division
Devan Montgomery serves as the Chief of the Criminal Division, where she oversees all criminal cases, including trial preparation, pre-trial motions, negotiations, case reviews, interviews, and evidentiary hearings. With a strong background in criminal law, Devan has extensive experience handling a wide range of cases, from low-level misdemeanors to serious felonies, including manslaughter. Her expertise also includes both jury trial and bench trial experience, and she is particularly adept at navigating the complexities of DUI cases.
Devan is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where she earned her degree summa cum laude, before going on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She began her career at the Maricopa County Office of the Public Defender (Arizona) and later transitioned to private practice. Throughout her career, Devan has handled a high volume of cases in Maricopa County, Phoenix Municipal Court, and the Maricopa County Justice Courts, building a reputation as a dedicated and effective advocate for her clients.
With a background in psychology, Devan is particularly attuned to the intersection of mental health and addiction with the criminal justice system. She is deeply passionate about providing strong defense for individuals facing challenges related to these issues.
