An Arizona couple is facing multiple drug-related charges after a Sept. 11 search of their residence. Police executed a warrant and allegedly found several types of drugs and paraphernalia used to ingest drugs as well as an undisclosed amount of cash.

The charges include dangerous drug possession with intent to sell, narcotic possession, marijuana possession, possession of narcotics for sale and dangerous drug possession. The search area included both the home, outside sheds and vehicles on the property. According to police, 50 items were seized in the raid including drugs, glass pipes and other items used to ingest drugs.

A total of four ounces of methamphetamine, found in two locations in the home, and a jar containing marijuana were found. The husband led the officers to the methamphetamine and the marijuana as well as the cash. According to police reports, the cash was located in a safe. Allegedly, one methamphetamine bag was in open view while another was in a drawer. The jar containing marijuana was in a second drawer. The couple, both aged 42, are residents of Loma Linda, and they were taken into custody upon the completion of the search.

Drug charges in Arizona are serious, and possession of drugs with an intent to sell may carry fines and incarceration for an extended period. Those who are in this position may want to consult with a Buckeye drug crimes attorney as soon as possible in order to understand the drug charges, the possible consequences and options. An attorney may review the case to determine if the charges were valid in addition to investigating the legality of the search warrant. The attorney may also seek to obtain a reduction of the charges or the imposition of rehabilitation in lieu of jail time.
