Say 'cheese!' New BAC tests utilize facial mapping

Blood alcohol tests are used by law enforcement officials to determine the possible level of driver impairment in order to establish a drunk driving charge. Results of these tests are used to determine whether an individual in Arizona can be charged with Driving Under the Influence, Extreme DUI or Super Extreme DUI.

Arizona police believe alcohol was a factor in apartment crash

Early Tuesday morning, individuals at an apartment complex were jolted awake by a loud noise. It was the sound of a pickup truck breaking through the wall of the brick building in Chandler, Arizona. When the truck went through the wall, bricks fell down on two residents causing them to suffer cuts and bruises.

Circumstantial evidence used as basis for charges in DUI case

On Aug. 13, 2013, Mesa police responded to an accident in which a cyclist suffered fatal injuries. At the scene, the officers determined that the individual had been hit by a vehicle. Further investigation led them to suspect that a specific 37-year-old man had driven his vehicle while intoxicated that evening. Police arrested him several days later, and he was eventually indicted on a manslaughter charge early this year.
